  This spot is absolutely incredible! Fun fact- Chinese food is more than orange chicken, fried rice, and fortune cookies. Hopefully, I didn't just blow your mind with new information, but if I did - you need to get here ASAP.
  
  The outside of this location won't impress you, but there is plenty of parking and GuangDong Taste if perfect for groups, so bring your friends!
  
  The menu is absolutely massive and has familiar items, as well as some that were definitely new for me. Don't be afraid to ask for recommendations. The best way to enjoy is by bringing friends and ordering family style. Most of the tables for larger groups have lazy susans in the middle so you can spin to share all the dishes at the table. I typically don't have enough people to want to do this with me, so I usually just come with one other person. My go-to order introducing people to GuangDong is an order of the XLB (Xiao Long Bao) and the peking duck.
  
  Xiao Long Bao are soup dumplings which are fun to eat. You have to practice some patience as you let some of the steam out and allow the dumpling to cool before enjoying. The dumplings here are a little thicker than XLB I've tried in other cities, but it is definitely the best I have had in Hampton Roads.
  
  The peking duck is just phenomenal. Served with fluffy, delicious bao buns. You get a variety of textures from the crispy skin to the decident, soft buns. Truly one of my favorite meals and I find the half duck is easily enough to share with our favorite XLB starter.
  
  I've tried a few other things from here, but honestly... I can't remember the names since I let someone else order for me. I haven't been disappointed!

  When one of your Chinese friends recommends you to what they think is one of the best Cantonese Food places in the area, you definitely wanna try it out.
  GuangDong Taste is located minutes from Town Center.
  
  This place offers you flavorful food at good prices but with a reasonable serving amount.
  
  From the outside the place looks small but when you walk in, its actually pretty big. Youre greeted right away by a server and they seat you right away. Their menu offers a huge range of options you dont normally see in the area. Like most places, you can personalize your order depending on how you want it ( ex: spicyness, taking certain things out ).
  
  Like many, I love my Chinese food and Im not easily impressed so whenever I go somewhere new I walk in with low expectations but GuangDong Taste definitely exceeded my expectations.
  
  So take my word on this one, TRY THIS PLACE OUT. .
  
  And oh yeah theres a Boba Place down from it too!

  Love the roast duck here. Exactly the same flavor like New York Chinatown.
  I also love the fish dishes, looks fresh and delicious.
  Only one small comment: Sometimes we wait for a so long time for the food.

  Authentic Chinese food served family style with a lot of the bigger tables having lazy susan turntables. This makes it a nice place to come for bigger groups! I visited on a Tuesday evening for dinner with my family. Party of 4. We arrived around 6:30/45 and there were already 3-4 other tables there. It is one big, open dining room with beautiful wall art and simple tables. Most are round while there are some rectangular ones up against the walls.
  
  I will warn vegetarians/vegans that while they do have lots of vegetable/meatless options there are four tanks of live fish and lobster in sight of the dining room that they use to get to the most fresh taste. There is also a warmer with chickens/pork hanging. This may not be everyone's cup of tea to see while eating. It didn't bother me though.  
  
  It didn't take long for the food to come out and we had ordered a lot! Everything was delicious and we had leftovers to take home. Staff was attentive filling up our drinks. By the time we were finishing our meal, more groups were coming in. It was great to see this place steady on a weeknight. I would recommend this place to all of my friends and fellow yelpers! Can't wait to come back again.

  We came here for lunch and dinner 2 days in a row. The price was reasonable and food was very tasty. I would def recommend this plave!
